The African Hope Committee’s side event in partnership with Hauwa and Zainab Memorial School at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women garnered immense attention and accolades, transcending geographical boundaries and cultural barriers. With a resounding presence from 22 nations, including Sudan, Cameroon, Mauritania, Guinea, and more, the event stood as a beacon of unity, empowerment, and progress for women across the African continent and beyond.
Under the theme “Empowering Women, Transforming Societies,” the event unfolded as a dynamic platform for dialogue, collaboration, and collective action. Delegates, activists, and leaders from diverse backgrounds converged to share insights, experiences, and innovative solutions aimed at advancing gender equality and women’s rights.
In her remark, Amb. Dr. Clarisse Mefotso Fall emphasized the importance of partnerships SDG#17 to promote, plan, design, and finance a sustainable future for women and girls. This year marks 10 years of the organization hosting the CSW/ Commission of the Status of Women.
With records of exposing over a thousand men, women, and youth through the 1000 African Women Network, created in 2014 to empower the international community and to create avenues to connect more women, men, and youth at the high level, social, economic, and political forums. Numerous impassioned speakers ignited the room with their powerful narratives, just as Khuraira Musa and her presentation on Girls’ education in rural areas, shedding light on the challenges faced by women in their respective nations and championing bold initiatives for change. From grassroots movements to governmental policies, the discussions delved into multifaceted approaches to address issues such as education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and political participation.
The vibrant exchange of ideas and perspectives fostered an atmosphere of solidarity and determination, inspiring attendees to redouble their efforts in the pursuit of gender equality. Beyond rhetoric, concrete commitments and partnerships were forged, promising tangible impact and sustainable progress in the lives of women and girls.
The African Hope Committee reaffirmed its commitment to driving transformative change, leveraging the momentum generated by this momentous gathering to propel the agenda of gender equality forward.
In the same vein, Amb. Dr Clarisse Founder of the African Hope Committee and Keynote speaker did it again after 20 years of community service, they hosted a global extravaganza side event.
On March 20th, 2024, During CSW68 at the United Nations, the African Hope Committee and Hausa & Zainab Memorial School joined forces to host an epic Amazon side event that drew in participants from a whopping 22 countries!

“I thank all of you for your love and support, Another successful month in hosting the international community to attend high-level economic social, and political events at the United Nations csw68.
This was no ordinary gathering as usual. The event was a knowledge-sharing, network-building, and consciousness-raising spectacular, featuring fearless females from all over the world.
Our fabulous host, Honorable Ms. Meffo Lidwine, founder of the Smiling Foundation and a world traveler kept the energy high as she moderated a powerhouse panel of phenomenal women:
1- Khuraira, the education believer
2- Daniella, the fertility fraud and corruption crusader
3- Ami Sow, the champion of women’s and girls’ rights
4- Kannika, the financial literacy guru
5- Dr. Clotilde, the public health superstar
Together, they spoke out wisdom, inspiration, and a healthy dose of girl power and that’s not all, Our global team of guests represented a room full of 22 countries from Senegal, the USA, Uganda, Greece, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Cambodia, China, Peru, India, Burkina Faso, Republic Democratic of Congo, Togo, Guinee, Ireland, Colombia, Sudan, Belgium, Frenc Guyane, Italy
It was a truly unforgettable experience, packed with laughter, tears, and a sense of sisterhood that transcended borders. The He- For- She was present to support women’s power.
As we envisioned the next upcoming event, the whole room is looking forward to supporting and watching amazing women who are changing the world.
