On Friday 4th October, 2024, the Ololorunda of Olorunda Abaa, His Royal Highness, Oba Samuel Abiodun Oludele Folarin (JP) Ilufemiloye 1installed Alhaja Chief Mrs. Wulemot Ibitoye Adewumi as the Otun-Iyalode of Olorunda.
Alhaja Ibitoye is the PDP State women leader and her leadership skills essential for guiding teams, inspiring others, and achieving organizational goals, which was appreciated by the community
According to one of the community residents, “her leadership and dedication to the Olorunda Abaa community are very remarkable, and she deserve this award”
The event, which held inside Ololorunda palace, was graced by politicians and socialites’, including Gov. Makinde’s ally, Agbaakin Benedict Akika, Hon. Abideen Adeaga, Honorable Kamorudeen Mudashiru, Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Sadiq Raji, Vice-chairman Lagelu LG, Big Daddy Sugar, Hon Badmus, Hon Okeyode
Also in attendance are Alh. YK Abass, Mrs Olatunji (Oluyole LG) and all Oyo State women leaders from senatorial district. Representatives of market men and women in Ibadan; and many others.
As expected of an event of such magnitude, there were cultural displays, especially from the traditional drummers and chanters, who performed to the amazement of those present at the coronation ceremony.
In the same vein, many have been sending their congratulations messages to the newly installed Otun-Iyalode of Olorunda. Hon. Sadiq, Raji Vice Chairman of Lagelu Local Government and Political Head of Lagelu North LCDA also congratulated the new Otun- Iyalode.
